Hello!
Unseen Footprints was inspired by Psalm 77:19 (ESV) “Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.”
Just as I believe that God is guiding my path through sometimes unseen footprints, I believe I am also leaving unseen footprints along my journey of life.
My name is Esther, and I’m so glad you’ve joined me on this journey as I explore life in different roles as a wanderer, counselor, and homemaker.
Want to know more about me?
Wanderer
At the ripe age of 27, I have traveled to 5 continents, 14 countries, 27 states, and numerous major cities. In addition, I have lived in 4 different states and studied abroad in England. I have traveled by plane, train, automobile, and boats; and I have traveled solo, in a family setting, and with friends. I love to experience different cultures and lifestyles and share them with others. Since I’m sure my friends are tired of hearing my stories, I thought others may find my experiences helpful in inspiring and planning their own adventures.
Counselor
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Greenville University (Go Crusaders!) and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Addictions Specialty from the College of William & Mary (Go Tribe!). I am a Nationally Certified Counselor. For most of my career, I have worked in the public school system with children with behavioral issues as either a substitute teacher or as a counselor. I have worked with students diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, BD, ASD, ODD, and most of the other letters of the alphabet.
As I have developed resources to use with my students, I realize that there are others who may benefit from these resources. Feel free to use as a counselor or teacher. I will also post musings about being a counselor in general and the importance of self-care.
Homemaker
This is my dump for everything else in my life. I’m a Pescaterian (a Vegetarian who eats fish), so I may share recipes. I am a firm believer in holistic living and try to use all-natural products when I can. I have success stories and many failures as I try oil pulling, no shampoo methods, chemical free cleaning methods, etc. If I try it, I will probably write about it. Also, you can expect some DIY tutorials, organizational tips, and decorating ideas. I have installed hardwood floors, built decks, constructed filing systems for non-profits, and moved more times than I can count.
